Bucharest—Global law firm Dentons advised Société Générale and BRD Groupe Société Générale, as Coordinating Mandated Lead Arrangers and Bookrunners, on a €435 million financing to automotive manufacturing company Ford Otosan Romania S.R.L. (“Ford Otosan Romania”).

The loan is to finance ongoing facility, vehicle and engineering investment projects at the Ford Otosan plant located in Craiova, Romania. It will contribute to financing the production of the next generation of Ford Transit Courier and Ford Tourneo Courier, as well as the launch of fully electric variants of both Puma and New Courrier models.

Dentons managed and coordinated the financing transaction, from drafting to closing, and provided legal support in the syndication process which resulted in BRD Group Société Générale S.A., Banca Comercială Română S.A., Banca Transilvania S.A., Garantibank International NV, Garanti Bank S.A., BNP Paribas S.A. Paris Sucursala Bucuresti, Citibank Europe PLC Dublin Sucursala Romania and UniCredit Bank S.A. joining the syndicate as lenders.
