Dentons’ Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy (RIB) practice was ranked No. 2 in The Deal's Top Bankruptcy Law Firms league table. The Deal ranked nearly 200 law firms based on their US and Canadian bankruptcy matter activity during the second quarter of 2015. This ranking is not only Dentons' highest yet, but represents tremendous growth, as the Firm has quickly climbed from a No. 8 ranking in the first quarter of 2015.  In addition, Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy partners Sam Alberts (Washington, DC), David Mann (Calgary) and Roger Simard (Montreal) were ranked among The Deal's Top Bankruptcy Lawyers.

The RIB practice's strong first half comes on the heels of a banner year in 2014 in which Dentons was involved in several high-profile matters that dominated headlines and established important precedents in the bankruptcy world.  This included a landmark settlement for the Official Committee of Retirees for the City of Detroit in the largest Chapter 9 bankruptcy in US history.  In honor of their work, Dentons received the 2014 Restructuring of the Year Award from M&A Advisor as well as Global M&A Network's 2015 Turnaround Atlas Award.
