Dentons’ Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy (RIB) practice was ranked No. 1 in The Deal Pipeline’s Top Bankruptcy Law Firms league table for the third quarter of 2015. This is first time Dentons has secured the top position in this league table, which ranks nearly 200 law firms based on their US and Canadian bankruptcy matter activity. In addition, Sam Alberts (Washington, DC), Kenneth Kraft (Toronto), Michael Isaacs (San Francisco) and Roger Simard (Montreal) were ranked in The Deal Pipeline's Top Bankruptcy Lawyers league table.
The RIB practice's strong performance comes on the heels of the merger between Dentons and McKenna Long & Aldridge, which expanded its geographical reach and strengthened its talent base. Moreover, Dentons has been involved in several high-profile matters, that dominated headlines and established important precedents in the bankruptcy world. This included a landmark settlement for the Official Committee of Retirees for the City of Detroit in the largest Chapter 9 bankruptcy in US history. In honor of their work, Dentons received the 2014 Restructuring of the Year Award from The M&A Advisor and Global M&A Network's 2015 Turnaround Atlas Award.
