Responsibilities and practice

Dentons US LLP is seeking a is seeking an associate with 5-9 years of work experience to join our thriving Government Contracts practice in Dallas or Denver. The associate hired for this position will work collaboratively with partners and be a key member of the team. Expected responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Counseling on government contracts performance issues
• Litigating CDA claims, bid protests and FCA cases
• Supporting internal and government investigations arising in connection with government contracts
• Reviewing contract and subcontract agreements and FAR and DFARS flow-downs
• Performing general research and writing in support of the department’s full scope government contracts practice

Pursuant with Colorado law, the Denver salary range for this position will be $325,000 to $390,000, based on experience. Based on years of experience, Dentons associates may have a title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate. Position requirements

Personal skills/attributes

• Possesses strong writing and analytical skills
• Has excellent interpersonal skills and is able to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
• Demonstrates superior organizational and time-management skills
• Understands the importance of client service and is committed to building client relationships
• Has strong networking and business development skills

Technical skills

• 5-9 years of legal experience required
• Prior government contracts experience with a law firm is strongly preferred

Other requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law and be in good standing in the state where the hired candidate will be practicing
• Must include a law school transcript with application
