Ed Peel is a professor in the Oxford University Law Faculty and a practising barrister. He is the author of Treitel on the Law of Contract and Halsbury's Laws of England (vol. 22, Contract) and the editor of a number of other books. He regularly advises on or appears in some of the leading cases in litigation, including in the Supreme Court: Cavendish Square Holding BV v. Makdessi (the rule against penalties) and the recent Morris-Garner v. One Step (Support) Ltd (negotiating damages for breach of restrictive covenants).
