London—Dentons' third annual Global Energy Summit will bring together key industry leaders to discuss current challenges facing the energy sector and the opportunities arising from them. The Summit's core focus will be on the outcomes of the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference, known as COP21, and their impact on the energy industry, from the perspectives of both traditional energy businesses and "new energy".

The summit will be held in London on 17 May 2016 and will see more than 200 delegates and 60 Dentons partners from around the world take part in the discussions.  Delegates will attend sessions on key trends in the global energy sector post COP21, including renewables, the implications for the energy sector of geo-politics concerning Iran and the wider Middle East and opportunities within the industry given current low oil prices.  Delegates will be drawn from across the industry, finance and investment communities and the public sector, and there is a dedicated session for senior in-house lawyers.
