London—Dentons has won the 'Apprenticeship Programme of the Year' award at the City Gateway Awards held at the Guildhall in London on 5 May 2016. Dentons and PwC received the award in recognition for their joint  'Gateway to Professional Services Course' which prepares young people for a career in professional services.

The 'Gateway to Professional Services Course', which was created and rolled out in 2015, saw eight young people directly transition into full-time apprenticeships at a number of firms, including Dentons.  All of these eight apprentices are still in their placements.

Commenting on the win, Dentons' UK managing partner, Brandon Ransley, said, "It's a great honour to receive this award in recognition of our 'Gateway to Professional Services Course'. City Gateway is outstanding in providing young people with opportunities to help them gain employment. We are delighted to be a part of that. Dentons has supported City Gateway since 2007 being the first law firm to offer apprenticeships through their apprenticeship programme. We look forward to continuing our work with City Gateway in the future."
