London—Dentons has unveiled Alzbeta Jaresova as the winner of the fourth Dentons Art Prize.

Alzbeta Jaresova, who was born in 1987 in the Czech Republic, lives and works in London. Having received a MFA from Camberwell College of Art in 2012, she explores the connection between history, memory and the functioning of social structures in her painting and drawing.

Special commendations were also given to Maha Ahmed and Cameron Morgan.

The Dentons Art Prize winners were chosen by a panel of expert independent judges which included David Roberts, Collector and Founder of David Roberts Art Foundation; Carrie Scott, Curator and Arts Broadcaster; and Mark Titchner, Artist.

As the winner of the Dentons Art Prize, Alzbeta Jaresova received a prize of £5,000.

The Staff Prize, as voted for by Dentons' employees, was awarded to Orlanda Broom.

The Dentons Art Prize is a biannual competition which began in January 2016 in collaboration with curator Niamh White. The competition aims to support diverse and dynamic artists as they embark on their careers.
