Australia—Dentons’ diversity achievements have again been recognised with the Firm awarded Diversity Law Firm of the Year at the Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards 2017.
The Awards, held at the Sofitel in Melbourne on 20 October 2017, recognise the achievements of female lawyers across the legal profession and the Diversity Award recognises a private practice law firm which demonstrates a commitment to diversity.
Ian Dardis, CEO Australia said that the Firm was delighted to be recognised for its diversity efforts.
“Dentons strives to be at the forefront of diversity and inclusion both in Australia and globally and we work hard to ensure that we have the policies in place to support a diverse, inclusive and flexible workplace.
“Our diversity policies cover gender, culture, flexibility and LGBTI and are supported by all levels across the firm.
“The Firm understands that having a diverse and inclusive workforce is critical both to our ability to attract and retain the best talent and to our ability to service our clients globally.
“Dentons want to be global leaders in diversity and inclusion. Our Global Committee on Diversity and Inclusion continually work towards supporting a workplace that reflects our globally diverse clients and it’s rewarding to see the Firm’s efforts in this space recognised.”
Dentons was also awarded the Bronze Employer Award at the Workplace Equality Index (AWEI) Awards 2017 earlier this year, placing Dentons in the top 50 large Australian employers for workplace inclusion.
