Frankfurt—Dentons was awarded “Law Firm of the Year in Frankfurt and Hessen“ at last night’s JUVE Awards ceremony, which took place at the famous Alte Oper (Old Opera) in Frankfurt.

Robert Michels, Frankfurt Managing Partner, commented: "The award proves that the positive development of our Frankfurt office is recognized in the market. This is a very rewarding success for our entire Frankfurt team and also for Dentons in Germany".

The award honors particularly Dentons’ dynamic development in Frankfurt over the last year, both in terms of talent development and client work.

The jury said in its statement: “After the Frankfurt office expanded its insolvency, restructuring and financial law activities, it has become increasingly valuable for the other German offices. […] High quality and full service - Dentons in Frankfurt is a serious competitor for other international law firms.”

In addition, JUVE explicitly highlighted the office’s diversity and inclusion efforts and the “above-average share of women”.

The annual event is the most important awards ceremony in the German legal market and honors the development and management performance of law firms. The evaluation criteria include client orientation, firm culture, recruitment policy, profitability, personal growth, as well as expansion into new fields of business or new markets.

In 2017, Dentons was awarded “Law Firm of the Year for Berlin and Region East”.  The Firm has been short listed multiple times over the past years as (overall) “Law Firm of the Year” as well as in the categories “Competition & Antitrust”, “Tax” and “M&A”.
