Luxembourg—Global law firm Dentons has advised co-developers BPI Real Estate and IKO Real Estate on the sale of the WOODEN building to ACRON Lux Real Estate I Holding. Located in Leudelange, the 9.500 sq.m. WOODEN is the first office building of this scale in Luxembourg made of wood. Its supporting structure is constructed using exclusively PEFC-certified (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) timber from sustainably managed forests in the Greater Region.
The exceptional sustainability standards implemented in WOODEN allow it to aim for the BREEAM® Excellent certification. It is also undergoing the WELL Building Standard® certification process, guaranteeing an exemplary working environment designed for the well-being of its occupants.
The Dentons team was led by partner Martine Gerber-Lemaire with support from senior counsel Christel Dumont and associate Shana Takoor from the Real Estate team in Luxembourg.
