Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, announces today that Matthew Cutts has joined the Firm and will serve as its head of US Policy and Government Relations. He is recognized as a top lobbyist in Washington, DC, specializing in federal tax policy, and served as chair of his prior firm’s financial services and tax policy public policy practice. His arrival follows closely on that of former US Congressman Joe Crowley, who recently joined Dentons as a senior policy director.

Cutts is a seasoned advocate for clients with interests that intersect with those of the federal government. He counsels clients on tax inversions, advocates tax policies intended to spur economic growth, and seeks to ensure tax parity and fair treatment for his clients. He also represents corporations on federal interests, from congressional investigations, to infrastructure, to healthcare policy. Among Cutts’ clients are financial institutions, online retailers, manufacturing companies and logistics firms.
