Global law firm Dentons has concluded an agreement to provide EURORDIS-Rare Diseases Europe with pro bono legal services.

EURORDIS-Rare Diseases Europe is a unique, non-profit alliance of over 1000 rare disease patient organizations from 74 countries that work together to improve the lives of over 300 million people living with a rare disease globally. By connecting patients, families and patient groups, as well as by bringing together all stakeholders and mobilizing the rare disease community, it strengthens the patient voice and shapes research, policies and patient services. EURORDIS is an organization with more than 50 employees of 20 nationalities working from three sites in Brussels, Paris and Barcelona. It was the founding partner of Rare Disease Day in 2008 and remains its lead coordinator.

Dentons will support EURORDIS in internal and external legal matters, including employee mobility issues, organizational matters, intellectual property rights and trademark issues, and in matters of regulatory strategy before the UN and EU institutions and other relevant stakeholders.
