J. Winston Busby has been selected as a Best of the Bar honoree for 2024 by the Birmingham Business Journal, highlighting the star performers in the Magic City's legal scene. Busby was selected from a pool of nominees based on his accomplishments, impact on his practice group and firm, and the wider legal community in Birmingham, among other factors.

As a shareholder in Dentons' Birmingham office, Busby serves as co-chair of the Dentons Sirote Trusts, Estates and Wealth Preservation practice group and is a member of Dentons' United States Region Board. Admitted in Alabama and Florida, he provides counsel to individuals, families and business owners on estate planning, trust planning, wealth preservation, probate and tax planning, emphasizing strategies to minimize both estate and income taxes. Busby also works with closely held business owners on a variety of issues, including generational transfers and succession and tax planning. Additionally, he assists fiduciaries with the administration of trusts and estates.
