Tobias von Gostomski rejoins Dentons as an advisor in the Frankfurt office
Frankfurt—Global law firm Dentons has strengthened its German Banking and Finance practice with the return of Tobias von Gostomski. As a member of the team led by Bodo Schaar, Tobias will work as a counsel in the Frankfurt office as of 1 November 2014.
As lawyer, solicitor (England & Wales) and banker, von Gostomski has longstanding banking and finance experience in law firms as well as in-house. Apart from his employment with several international law firms, he also worked for the Commerzbank AG. He is specialized in acquisition financing, project and real estate financing, syndicated lending and export financing.
“We are pleased to see that our approach is not only attractive for advisors in general but also for former colleagues,” says Andreas Ziegenhagen, Managing Partner Germany. “It will be Tobias’ expertise which will help to further establish the Banking and Finance practice as an interface for our Real Estate, Corporate and Restructuring practices.”
Bodo Schaar, head of the German Banking and Finance practice, agrees: “With Tobias’ return we will expand our team and continue to provide excellent advice for our clients—taking both the banking and the corporate perspective.”
Von Gostomski also looks forward to his return to Dentons “to have full benefit of the advantages of a global law firm in familiar surroundings—from the value added advice due to our worldwide presence to a team of experienced advisors on the spot.”
Tobias is the fourth returnee in a row since the combination of Dentons last year: Philip Windemuth re-joined in April this year and supports the Russian-German Corporate practice, Michael Seppelt now works within the restructuring team. Von Gostomski joined the Dentons legacy firm Salans in 2009 and returns after being at Ashurst.
