On October 22, 2015, a conference was organized in Brussels by the European Commission on “Boosting Investments in Transport”.

At the invitation of Ms. Violeta Bulc - the European Commissioner for Transport, Tomasz Korczyński, counsel co-head of the Public-Private Partnership Practice at Dentons Warsaw, delivered a lecture on the PPP and the impact of the Juncker plan on the development of infrastructure in Poland:

“Poland as a laboratory for capacity building - the first experiences of implementing PPP projects in Poland. Lesson to be learnt – ‘how to boost projects implementation.’”

The Conference aimed at gathering stakeholders from the financing sector, long term investors, and consultancies engaged in transport economics. It was also attended by high level representatives of EU institutions, and the European Investment Bank. The participants discussed how to enhance the financing of transport infrastructure projects and help delivering the transport infrastructure, which is a key driver of the long-term growth and competitiveness.
