Dentons advanced three spots in the 2015 Acritas Global Elite Law Firm Brand Index, an annual global survey of over 2,300 general counsel ranking brand equity in the legal profession. Now listed at 14, Acritas named Dentons “a firm to watch” due to one of the most significant rises on the Index this year.

“The unique Dentons strategy of being the only global polycentric law firm is clearly paying off as Dentons moves up the Global Elite Brand Index,” says Global Chair Joe Andrew.

The Acritas Global Elite Law Firm Brand Index is based on the responses of 1,059 purchasers of legal services who reside at organizations with more than US$1 billion in revenue. Interviews incorporate more than 60 questions and are conducted in local languages across 55 countries.

Dentons remains the youngest brand included in the top 20. Less than three years have passed since the combination that created Dentons, yet the Firm has placed in the top 20 for all three years, even among competing brands that have been familiar to legal services consumers for decades.

Of the four components that Acritas uses to determine the rankings—awareness, favorability, consideration for use in multi-jurisdictional deals and consideration for use in multi-jurisdictional litigation—the Firm's greatest gains this year came in awareness, bolstered by the news of Dentons' combination with 大成, announced in early January of this year.
