Iowa real estate and public finance shareholder Shannon Hasse is taking on multiple leadership roles.

She was recently appointed to the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors where she will serve for a one-year term as a City, Community, & Chamber Representative on behalf of the West Des Moines Leadership Academy. In this role, Shannon will work alongside other Board members to provide leadership for the West Des Moines Chamber, serve as an advocate of Chamber initiatives and activities, and support the Board by serving responsibly and with dedication.

“I am incredibly excited to serve on the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors,” said Shannon, “I look forward to serving alongside key leaders as we advance important community initiatives and programs. West Des Moines is a wonderful place to live, work, and play, and I look forward to the opportunity to further engage in these efforts and to help showcase all that the Chamber has to offer.”

In addition, Shannon has been involved in the West Des Moines Leadership Academy since she participated as a class member in 2021-2022. The leadership academy is a nine-month intensive leadership development experience focused on equipping participants to lead themselves, others, and within their community. This year, Shannon is serving as Chair of the Advisory Council after previously serving as Vice Chair. She leads the Advisory Council in providing support for curriculum planning, recruitment, and alumni engagement.

It’s powerful to see the impact this program has had on graduates, businesses, and the West Des Moines community,” said Shannon, “I am excited to serve as Chair of the Advisory Council and to welcome another outstanding group of leaders to this year’s class.”
