The bidding window for the second METÁR tender expired on October 15 and, in accordance with the tender rules, the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority (“HEA”) opened the proposals last Tuesday in the presence of the designated notary. The HEA subsequently published an announcement on the list of applicants, supplying identification data of their respective proposals – location of development site, installed capacity and technology – and their respective bid prices.

Based on the information provided, in the second round of METÁR tender 272 proposals were submitted. The lowest bid price was 16.18 HUF/kWh and the highest bid price was 26.65 HUF/kWh. The Evaluation Committee will now conduct a detailed evaluation of the proposals and final result of the tender is expected to be announced at the end of January 2021.
