Partner Igor Ostrowski, Global Co-Chair of Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector group at Dentons, was appointed to the Steering Committee organizing the 2020 Internet Governance Forum (IGF), and will represent the business communities on the IGF’ 2020 Board. 

IGF is a global forum where governments, civil society, the tech community, academia, the private sector, and independent experts discuss Internet governance and policy issues. The annual IGF meeting is organized by a Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) under the auspices of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA). The upcoming, 15th annual IGF edition will be hosted by the Government of Poland in Katowice from 2 to 6 November 2020 under the overarching theme: Internet United. 

“IGF is one of the most successful platforms to discuss global opportunities and challenges surrounding Internet Governance. It is the only forum where all the interested parties meet on equal footing to exchange ideas. As a former member of the Multistakeholder Advisory Group to the Secretary General of the United Nations and a big believer in open dialogue on the future of the Net, I’m proud to be a part of the team responsible for the preparation of the next global IGF in my home country,” Igor Ostrowski commented on his appointment.
