The Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI) has released draft guidelines outlining criteria for valid consent under Quebec's new privacy law, Law 25. The CAI has launched a six-week consultation that concludes on June 25, 2023. It is crucial for organizations to understand and adhere to these guidelines, as failure to comply can result in significant financial penalties, effective September 22, 2023.
