In line with its client-driven strategy of deepening its services and relationships in Africa, the global law firm Dentons has announced a new association with leading Ghana law firm JLD & MB Legal Consultancy (“JLD & MB”). Dentons has been active in Ghana-related work for over twenty years.

This follows a period of strong growth in Africa where Dentons has an extensive network of offices and associated offices located in 20 countries, spanning the African continent's Anglophone, Francophone and Lusophone regions. It is the first major international law firm to develop such a presence in Africa. In April, Dentons announced that it had formalized its relationship with associate firm Kapdi Twala to launch Dentons in South Africa together with a commitment to open in Johannesburg. The firm has also announced plans to open an additional office in Francophone Africa this year.
