Paris—Dentons Paris partner Catherine Joffroy has been awarded the distinction of Knight of the Legion of Honor of France (Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur).

Since 1990, Catherine Joffroy has been specializing in counseling French companies investing in the CEI, mainly Russia and Ukraine, but also in Central and Eastern Europe. She also advises major Russian companies in France on French commercial and civil law. Catherine was named "Conseiller du Commerce Extérieur" of France in 2008. She has written numerous articles on Russia and Ukraine, which have been published in Les Cahiers juridiques et fiscaux, MOCI, and Les Echos.

Lawyer Georges Kiejman, Pierre-André de Chalendar (president of Saint-Gobain), sociologist Alain Touraine and Gilles Jacob (president of the Cannes film festival) have also received this year’s award, as well as Carl Salans, one of the firm’s founders.
