Berlin—Global law firm Dentons advised MEININGER Holding GmbH regarding the conclusion of a lease for a hotel in the old town of Leipzig. The hotel was formerly leased by Accor Group under the brand Ibis Leipzig City. Altogether, the object has a floor area of more than 4,000 square meters. It will reopen, after a renovation at the beginning of next year, with a total of 126 rooms and more than 400 beds.

The Dentons team, led by Counsel Jan Hellner, advised MEININGER on all legal matters. This includes the leasing contract, with a special focus on the renovation phase, as well as employment issues, which were handled by employment law Associate Isabelle Puhl.

Hellner has a longstanding relationship with MEININGER. In addition to this latest transaction, he ad-vised the company on a partnership agreement with Fonciére des Murs, a subsidiary of Fonciére des Régions, as well as on several hotel developments.
