Berlin—Global law firm Dentons has advised Superior Essex Inc. on the establishment of a new European Joint Venture with Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. under the name Essex Furukawa Magnet Wire Europe. The Joint Venture shall combine technical expertise and global resources of both companies and thereby pave the way to deliver a new sort of winded high-voltage wire for the car industry in Europe. The completion of the transaction is expected for the first quarter 2017.

Superior Essex is a leading manufacturer for cable and wire made from copper and other materials and has been a supplier for retail markets for winding and copper wire, energy and communication for more than 85 years. Furukawa Electric is a Japanese enterprise with a diversified portfolio consisting of optical, plastic and metal products offered for customers in the telecommunications-, energy-, car- and construction-industry.
