Dubai—Dentons has renewed its partnership with Dubai Exiles Rugby Football Club (Dubai Exiles), a non-profit sports club dedicated to playing and promoting the game of Rugby Union in Dubai and across the Middle East.

Founded in 1966, and now under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, Dubai Exiles is the Middle East’s oldest sports club as well as the creator of the Dubai Rugby Sevens, an annual rugby sevens tournament held in Dubai since 1970.

The club has grown to become one of the largest of its kind in the region with over 700 rugby, netball and cricket players from the ages of 4 to 60 representing 33 nationalities. The Exiles recently claimed a major Dubai Sevens title, having won the Gulf Mens League Cup, an exciting match televised to over 200 million viewers worldwide. The Exiles Under 19 Girls team also went through the tournament unbeaten clinching their Cup winners title with a win over the Arabian Knights.

Having worked with Dubai Exiles for over 5 years, Dentons has provided the club with financial support as well as pro-bono legal assistance on a range of projects, most recently including the construction of their new clubhouse at The Sevens Stadium, which will act as the club's new home. The Firm's yearly financial contribution has also recently been allocated to support additional coaching resource to the older Mini & Youth Groups.
