The India-Africa Summit was a landmark, first of its kind event, bringing together some of the leading entrepreneurs and investors from both regions under one roof to discuss possible avenues of cooperation.

Priscilla Balgobin-Bhoyrul, our Senior Partner, sat on one of the panels to discuss Mauritius as an intercontinental bridge between the two continents and the opportunities, challenges and goals in strengthening the connection between India and Africa. Other topics discussed were the role of networks in connecting start-ups and the role of angel mentors and incubators. Moreover, we heard from a number of successful investors and entrepreneurs, who shared their tips and secrets on how start-ups could succeed and, last but not least, we listened to a panel of CEOs and Founders, involved in the tech world, on Fintech and Innotech.

We believe in the massive opportunities between India and Africa and find ourselves not only strategically positioned “between” the two regions, but also globally connected as the largest law firm in the world and we were pleased to play a leading role in this successful, historic event.
