Frankfurt—Global law firm Dentons advised private equity firm Quartum Kapital on the sale of the hygiene company profi-con to CWS Group.

profi-con is a leading full-service provider for cleaning sterile rooms in the pharmaceutical, genetic engineering, biotechnology and medical technology industries. In addition, the company offers professional cleaning services for dust-free clean rooms in the microelectronics, semiconductor, optoelectronics, automotive and plastics technology industries. Headquartered in Leipzig, profi-con is active in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Bulgaria.

CWS, a portfolio company of the Haniel Group, is expanding its market position as a leading international provider of hygiene solutions with this transaction. CWS intends to continue to manage the profi-con brand independently. It was agreed not to disclose the transaction value. 

Quartum is an investment company focusing its activities on Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The company is based in Frankfurt am Main and offers investors direct participation in medium-sized companies on a deal-by-deal basis.

A Dentons team led by Frankfurt Partner Robert Bastian advised Quartum on the sale as well as on its investment into the company. Bastian has advised Quartum for many years, most recently on the acquisition of Polywest Group.
