Dentons is proud to announce that Lorena Harris, Partner and Co-Leader of Dentons’ Litigation and Dispute Resolution group in Edmonton has been appointed a Judge to the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench.

“Lorena is an outstanding lawyer and will be a wonderful addition to the Court ” said Fausto Franceschi, Managing Partner of Dentons’ Edmonton office. “This significant achievement is a reflection of Lorena’s influential and successful work as one of Alberta’s top litigators and demonstrates her continued commitment to the legal profession. Her leadership, drive, passion and intellect will serve her well in this new role.”

Lorena has been practicing law in Alberta for over 25 years and has appeared before all levels of Court during her highly distinguished career. Her broad commercial litigation practice has seen Lorena handle complex product liability, professional liability, transportation, policing and law enforcement matters. Beyond her outstanding legal work, Lorena is also recognized for her volunteerism in the community. She is a board member for the Alberta Art Gallery as well as ACT Alberta, a non-profit organization dedicated to the elimination of human trafficking in the province.

Madam Justice Harris joins a number of former Dentons partners serving our province as members of the judiciary.
