Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, announces that William (Billy) Curley has been appointed Global Chief Financial Officer.

Billy joins Dentons from KPMG, where he worked for over 20 years, most recently serving as Global Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of KPMG’s Global Delivery Network, Tax and Legal. Billy brings extensive expertise in implementing corporate financial strategy along with IT, Human Resources, Legal, and Procurement proficiencies within a global environment. He will lead all financial aspects of Dentons and joins a talented team of executives. Billy will report directly to Dentons’ Global Chief Executive Officer and will sit on the Firm’s Global Management Committee, reporting to the Global Board. He is based in Budapest, Hungary.

Previously at KPMG, Billy served in a variety of executive roles, including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of KPMG Hungary, Chief Financial Officer of KPMG Europe, Middle East, and Africa, and Chief Financial Officer for Group and Portfolio Investments of KPMG Capital. Earlier in his career, Billy held a variety of accounting roles including with Coopers & Lybrand Hungary.

Billy’s appointment is the latest in a series of critical additions Dentons has made to its global leadership team, including Aragon St-Charles as Global Head of ESG, Neelima Paladugu as Global Chief People Officer and Kate Broer as Global Head of Inclusion & Diversity.

Billy is a native of Ireland and received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University College Galway, Ireland.
