1. How long have you been at Dentons?

I have been at Dentons for a year and a half, since February 2022. 

2. What specific areas within venture technology do you focus on?

I represent both funds and family offices in corporate transactions and direct investments in growth companies. I also represent growth companies through their life cycle beginning with early-stage financing rounds through exit. This includes general corporate advisory work and mergers and acquisition work.

3. How does the Firm’s global network and resources enhance your ability to serve clients in your practice areas?

The Dentons platform has been amazing. Our Venture Technology Group in particular is extremely integrated across offices in the US and the world – we truly understand the experience and capabilities of our peers throughout the Dentons worldwide platform. This integration is critical as all businesses have global needs, large or small, at some point. Our clients know they can reach out to me or any Dentons lawyer and have immediate access to our partners to meet their needs in different offices throughout the world.

4. Since joining the Firm, have you noticed any emerging trends or challenges that clients should be aware of?

Not necessarily legal trends, but clients are increasingly focused on expertise and responsiveness. It is important for me and my partners to move quickly to respond to client needs.

5. What is the most exciting part about being on the Firm’s Venture Technology team?

For me, the most exciting part is the entrepreneurial nature of the group and its focus on attracting top-quality lawyers and clients. While other peer firms are downsizing, our Venture Technology Group has done very well and is actively looking to grow.

6. What would you say to someone interested in pursuing a career similar to yours at Dentons?

Definitely pursue it! Your practices will grow and you will build amazing relationships with partners all over the world and these relationships will lead to more opportunities to build your practices.
