Global law firm Dentons received the Tech Innovation Award at the IFLR Europe Awards 2024, which took place in London on April 24, 2024. The award recognizes Dentons’ innovative white-space management tool, Purple Sea.
Purple Sea is an interactive data-driven solution, which is used by lawyers and business development professionals within Dentons to identify opportunities for the firm to add value to client relationships. The tool is supported by a custom-developed data model that combines thousands of data points from internal and external sources to give an instant view on the work the Firm is currently doing for the client as well as providing unique insights into the potential for different practice groups to offer their services. What makes Purple Sea uniquely powerful is the white space analysis algorithm which utilizes the data sources to provide actionable intelligence and help identify opportunities for collaboration and new business.
The tool was developed internally by Dentons’ Europe Insights and Intelligence team led by Břetislav Šimral with support from Patryk Hoffmann and Pavel Stika, as well as Amanda Rea from the global Finance team.
Tomasz Dabrowski, Europe Chief Executive Officer at Dentons, commented, “Dentons is committed to bringing creativity, innovation and proactiveness in identifying opportunities to help our clients. Purple Sea is a great example of applying this in practice and I would like to congratulate the entire team who brought this tool to fruition.”
