The Legal 500’s EMEA Green Guide 2024 has recognized Dentons among the leading law firms for sustainability in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The guide recognizes law firms which are contributing to the green transition through both their client work and internal commitment to sustainability. Dentons was highlighted particularly in three European jurisdictions: Germany, Poland and the Netherlands. • Advising BayernLB and the Danish export credit agency EKF on financing to RWE for two offshore wind farms in Germany and England
• Advising the banks on a €155m loan for the Serbian MK Group and the Slovenian ALFI Green Energy Fund to finance the 103.3 MW Krivača wind farm.
• Advising GoldenPeaks Capital on the financing of two portfolios of photovoltaic projects in Poland
• Advising AP Pension, one of Denmark’s largest pension funds, on the financing of Better Energy’s portfolio of five solar parks across Poland
• Advising RWE Generation on a project to convert residual municipal waste into green hydrogen and advising RWE on the development of the 760 MW Hollandse Kust West VII offshore wind farm
• Assisting Rabobank and a syndicate of banks on a sustainability-linked loan to multinational coffee merchant Sucafina
• Providing pro bono advice to the Chancery Lane Project, which involves in drafting and publishing a library of climate-friendly contract clauses to be used by lawyers
• Providing pro bono assistance to Justdiggit, which is working to regreen Africa.
