Dentons announces today that veteran Evansville lawyers David Jones and Paul Wallace have joined the Evansville office as of counsel.

David Jones advises municipal and county governments as they navigate contracts, ordinances, land issues, compliance, financing, economic development initiatives and more. He draws on his experience as County Attorney for Vanderburgh County, a role he has held since 2019 and previously in the 1980s, and as Corporate Counsel for the City of Evansville from 2004 to 2011.

David brings nearly 50 years of litigation experience in both state and federal courts, which includes the areas of civil litigation, municipal law, commercial litigation, construction law, and the defense of law enforcement and civil rights claims against corporate and municipal entities.

Paul Wallace is a member of Dentons’ Corporate practice, where he helps clients in a variety of areas, including health care law, real estate and business acquisitions, and estate planning and probate. His clients include family businesses, corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies.

Prior to joining Dentons, David and Paul practiced together for 15 years at the business law firm they founded in Evansville. The two have legal careers spanning decades in Evansville, and have served in private practice, public service and on the boards of many organizations.

David is a former member of the boards of directors of Potters Wheel Ministries, Wish Upon A Star and the Evansville Police Department Foundation Inc. Paul has a long history of leadership within the Indiana State Bar Association, serving on several committees and sections. He is a current member of St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation and former member and counsel to the Evansville-Vanderburgh Airport Authority District.
