Dublin—Dentons Dublin has advised a syndicate of lenders including BNP Paribas on a €2.4 billion five-year sustainability-linked revolving credit facility (RCF) to ESB.

Dentons client BNP Paribas acted as co-ordinator to a syndicate of 15 international lenders on this facility which replaces a €1.4 billion facility put in place in 2020. The increased size of the facility is to support the significant investment required to deliver ESB's Net Zero by 2040 strategy. The new RCF will run to July 2030, with options to extend the maturity to July 2032.

ESB is Ireland's foremost energy company, established in 1927 as a statutory corporation under the Electricity (Supply) Act 1927. The company is majority-owned by the Irish government.

BNP Paribas is a French multinational bank and financial holding company, as well as a multijurisdictional client of Dentons.
