It is an exciting time for private equity in Africa, and our team is currently working on a number of interesting private equity deals across the continent. Thank you to Private Equity Africa for hosting such a fantastic event."
Gail Mwamba, the Awards Chair and Editor of Private Equity Africa, said:
“As the dynamic private equity market in Africa continues to go from strength to strength, this year’s awards have distinguished the innovative investment and advisory work and some of the region’s most transformative deals over the last year. The results that the award winners have achieved in the last year truly demonstrate the immense opportunity in African private equity. Congratulations to Dentons and all the winners for this year and we look forward to gathering again next year.”
This follows a fantastic year of significant growth for the African private equity practice at Dentons which has won instructions from Africa Capital Alliance, AIIM and Africinvest through to Verod Capital. It also follows Dentons' receipt of the same award in 2014 for advising on the US$3 billion Petrobras JV (the largest private equity transaction in Africa in 2013) and advising Verod Capital on GZI (PEA Awards Large Cap Exit of the Year 2013).
