Alan Han is a land use planner in the municipal, land use planning and development law group at Dentons, where he provides guidance on various development-related matters.
Prior to joining Dentons, Alan earned his degree in Honours Planning from the University of Waterloo. During this time, he completed various cooperative work experiences in the land use planning, development and construction fields. Alan builds on his previous experiences to conduct planning policy research and analysis, prepare due diligence, and assist planning applications through the approval process. He is knowledgeable in land use and development planning, including the preparation and coordination of development applications for official plan and zoning by-law amendments, draft plans of subdivision, site plans, consents, and minor variances. His understanding of the construction practice from previous experiences further assists his guidance in development planning. Alan also regularly reviews and monitors municipal and provincial policies and studies in order to keep solicitors and their clients apprised of changes affecting development projects.
