On January 18th, a public-private partnership (PPP) agreement was signed between the Ministry of Transport and Public Works (MTOP) and the Autovías Cinco S.A. consortium.

Dentons Jiménez de Aréchaga advised the Autovías Cinco S.A. consortium, integrated by the Spanish companies Aldesa Construcciones S.A. and Coalvi Renovables S.L. and the Uruguayan company Ramón C. Alvarez S.A., responsible for the design, construction, operation, and financing of the road infrastructure project to be developed on Highway 14: Sarandí del Yí - Lascano section and Highway 15: Lascano - Velázquez section.

The project, which crosses the provinces of Florida, Lavalleja, and Rocha, covers 183 kilometers, and involves an initial investment of 202 million Dollars, in addition to other complementary investments of 130 million Dollars.
