Glasgow—Dentons has advised the shareholders of Axle Group Holdings Ltd (National) on the sale of National to Halfords Group plc for circa £62 million. Halfords is the UK's largest retailer of motoring and cycling products and services.

National is a well-established business in the tyre and automotive servicing, maintenance and repair market, operating under the following brands: National Tyres and Autocare, Viking Wholesale Tyres and Tyre Shopper. The transaction completed on 9 December and National will now be integrated into Halfords' Autocentres business.
