Law360 named three Dentons lawyers to its 2023 list of Rising Stars. Partners Lauren Wilson and Diora Ziyaeva, and managing associate Lauren Estevez were selected as top legal talent under 40. They were each selected for their legal accomplishments that transcend their age.

Wilson, a member of the Federal Regulatory and Compliance practice in the Washington DC office, was recognized as a Rising Star in the Technology, Media, and Telecom category. Wilson’s wealth of experience across the public and private sectors aided her in implementing several multi-year 5G infrastructure agreements for a major telecommunications company. Among her achievements, she assisted with bringing necessary fiber and Wi-Fi capacity to a major entertainment stadium, which led to a record single-day Wi-Fi performance within a venue. She also represents Pure IP in its acquisition by BCM One, including management of the due diligence process related to telecom matters in the US, Latin America and Europe.

Ziyaeva, recognized as a Rising Star in the International Arbitration category, is a member of the International Dispute Resolution group in the New York office. Ziyaeva’s experience in more than 30 significant international arbitration proceedings and wealth of knowledge of public international law has secured wins for clients in a number of high-profile disputes before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). As lead counsel for Canadian gold mining company, Aris Mining Corporation, Ziyaeva is paving the way for international arbitration concerning the expropriation of investments in the Republic of Colombia. Ziyaeva also went before the International Commercial Court (ICC) and successfully defended a Norwegian renewable energy company in the US$800 multi-party contract dispute.

Estevez is a member of the Firm’s Health Care practice in the Los Angeles office. As lead associate, Estevez developed innovative legal theories that allowed Weedmaps to be publicly listed on Nasdaq. She also represented Bright Green Corp. in receiving their DEA Registration and their Direct Listing on Nasdaq, making them the first federally legal cannabis company to go public.
