Jim Vann was presented with the prestigious 2024 Distinguished Alumni Award by the University of Montevallo National Alumni Association (UMNAA). This award is the highest annual honor bestowed by the UMNAA and recognizes an alum who has excelled in their professional career.

Vann is president, board member and shareholder of Dentons’ Alabama offices, where he is a member and former chair of the Dentons Sirote Real Estate practice group. In his practice, Vann represents banks and other lenders in connection with all types of lending, including commercial and industrial loans, as well as real estate loans. He also represents developers and owners of multi-family and other commercial real estate in the acquisition, sale, leasing, and financing of such properties.
