Community Involvement and Pro BonoBety is on the board of directors, and chairs the Nominating Committee, of the Los Angeles chapter of the Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF), the largest nationwide charitable organization in North America solely devoted to supporting cancer research in Israel for the benefit of all mankind. She also serves as an advisory board member for the Institute for Corporate Counsel. Bety is also actively involved with UCLA School of Law. She is a board member of UCLA Law Women LEAD, an initiative addressing the distinct challenges women alumnae throughout their careers. And, she also serves as a representative on the UCLA Law Firm Challenge and volunteers her time with the Moot Court program. Bety is committed to serving pro bono clients, working regularly with the Alliance for Children’s Rights. For example, she helped a family adopt a beautiful baby girl on National Adoption Day.
