Laura is a managing practice development lawyer in the People, Reward and Mobility practice. She supports our fee earners through a variety of knowledge initiatives, from internal and external training to the development of innovative methods for service delivery.

Laura keeps the People team up to date on case law developments and legislative changes, and manages the team's CPD programme and trainee training. She oversees the development and maintenance of our precedent library, including the automation of key precedents. Laura manages our client seminars and prepares materials for client training. She also supervises the production of our client communications on legal developments.

Prior to taking up the practice development role in 2018, Laura spent more than 13 years advising on all aspects of employment law, from the management of day-to-day HR issues to strategic advice on organisational change and business transfers. She regularly appeared in the Employment Tribunal across the UK and represented clients in claims such as automatically unfair dismissal on the grounds of making protected disclosures, disability discrimination and sex discrimination. For more than seven years, she also advised on business immigration, including the points-based regime and sponsor license duties, as well as advising individuals on applications for further and indefinite leave to remain.
