Marcelo is a partner co-leading the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group in Dentons Chile.

His practice focuses on dispute resolution in civil and commercial matters, and in infrastructure and energy projects, acting in different proceedings representing companies in disputes regarding contractual liability, tort, construction, energy, insolvency and restructuring, consumer protection, among others. Marcelo acts as both party counsel and arbitrator.

He is professor of Procedural Law at the Universidad del Desarrollo.

He is a founding member of the Chilean chapter of ENERAP. He is a member of the Rising Arbitrators Initiative and the Chilean Bar Association.

In addition, he is part of the Young Arbitrators of CAM Santiago and Arbitrators of the Court of Appeals of Santiago lists.

Confidential Client: Representation, as plaintiff, of a wind farm operator, in arbitration on contract enforcement plus damages for breaching of Power Purchase Agreement, against a mining company.
Confidential Client: Representation, as defendant, of an engineering and construction Swedish company, in arbitration on latent defects in the construction of a public highway, against concessionaire company.
Confidential Client: Representation, as defendant, of a gas supplier company, in arbitration on contractual liability for a take or pay gas supply contract, against gas distributor company.
Confidential Client: Representation, as defendant, of an engineering and construction Chinese public company, in arbitration on contract termination plus damages compensation in relation to works on the extension of the Metro of Santiago, against a subcontractor.
