Frankfurt/Berlin—Dentons advised the investment firm Nuveen Real Estate on the financing for the acquisition of the Berlin office building "The Cube". The seller of the fully digitalized and innovative building is the project developer CA Immo.

"The Cube" is one of the most modern office buildings in Europe. Situated in the immediate vicinity of Berlin's main railway station, the 11-storey Cube is impressive due to its eye-catching architecture with a kaleidoscopic outer skin and a roof terrace only available to tenants. The building is completely digitalized and controlled by a system of self-learning artificial intelligence. This building control system permanently evaluates all data from the environment as well as from behavior, habits and preferences of the tenants via sensors, and then automatically adapts to the needs of the tenants. The building is known from the German TV series "Bad Banks". Tenants include Deutsche Bahn, RA-MICRO, Hering Schuppener and Coffee Fellows, among others.
