Moscow, Berlin, June 2014 – Dentons has strengthened its German Practice in Russia with the addition of three lawyers from Orrick. Philipp Windemuth joined Dentons’ Moscow and Berlin offices as a partner, Dr. Joachim Homeister – as of counsel and Elena Homeister – as associate in the first quarter of 2014.

The German Practice Group in Russia (GPG) has been advising German, Austrian and other international clients on their activities in Russia since 1999. Our GPG team consists of German-qualified lawyers residing in Germany, Russia and other countries, native German speakers qualified in Russia and other jurisdictions who have lived and worked in Russia for many years, and lawyers qualified in Russia who have acquired advanced German linguistic skills as a result of studying and/or working in German-speaking countries. They are familiar with both German and Russian legislation as well as with business practices and cultures in Russia, in German-speaking countries, as well as in many other countries in which Dentons clients invest.

Dentons’ GPG works regularly on a broad range of Russian and German law matters. Where necessary, the GPG also works with other lawyers in our offices in Berlin and Frankfurt.

The GPG works in Russia for major clients from Germany, Austria and Switzerland active in various sectors, including retail, chemical industry, life sciences, real estate, financial services, automotive, infrastructure, luxury goods, software and others.
