Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, held a gala event at the prestigious Hyatt Regency Tashkent to celebrate its recent expansion in Uzbekistan. Approximately 100 leaders of the Uzbek business community attended the reception, including representatives of major multinational and domestic companies, government ministries, and foreign embassies.

In July of this year, Dentons significantly enhanced its presence in Uzbekistan through a combination with highly ranked law firm Avent Advokat. A team of ten lawyers, led by partner Eldor Mannopov, joined the Tashkent office. The Firm’s expanded presence in Uzbekistan strengthens its market-leading position across CIS and Central Asia.

Uzbekistan Managing Partner Eldor Mannopov is a highly ranked lawyer in business law, and is recognized as a market leader in construction matters. He also focuses on international trade, arbitration, M&A, tax, litigation and compliance. He is well known for his experience working with Chinese and other Asian clients.

In his keynote address at the event, Eldor Mannopov commented, “We are witnessing important reforms in Uzbekistan, representing an entirely new chapter in the independent history of our country.
