Bingham Greenebaum Doll’s Tandy C. Patrick helped celebrate the groundbreaking of a 35,000 square foot office building to be constructed at the Kentucky Horse Park this past Friday, May 11. The building will be the new home of the United States Equestrian Federation (“US Equestrian”), which will relocate from its current office space at the Park in the fall of 2019.  Patrick has served as the Chair of the Horse Park Commission since March of 2016, in addition to having served as Chair from 2005-2008.

The new building will enable US Equestrian headquarters to remain at the Horse Park, in close proximity to offices of various other equine organizations including many affiliates of US Equestrian, and is expected to generate cost savings that will allow for the development of programs for over 100,000 members of the organization. US Equestrian CEO Bill Moroney recognized Patrick in a statement Friday, saying that Patrick and others had “embraced [US Equestrian’s] vision and worked with us to keep US Equestrian here at the Kentucky Horse Park.”

US Equestrian is the national governing body for equestrian sport; it trains, selects and funds the United States Equestrian Team, which competes in a number of international competitions, including the Olympics, and it also licenses equestrian competitions of all levels across the United States each year. US Equestrian also assists with equine welfare and protection, and supports various federal and state governments as well as other equine organizations.

Tandy is a partner in the Louisville and Lexington offices and a member of the Firm’s Partnership Board, a partner in the Firm’s Real Estate Practice Group and a member of the Economic Development Department; she also serves on the Firm’s Diversity Committee.  Her practice focuses on commercial real estate development and leasing as well as equine law. She earned her JD from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law.
