According to Ms. Bernier: “Without transparency, it is very difficult to obtain a valid consumer consent and to legitimately collect, use and share their personal data.”

"Programs should clearly identify all third parties involved so that you know exactly where you stand. In other industries, clients are directed to a web page that lists all the partners and how their data is being used by each of them," she adds.
