Dentons successfully helped secure federal grants for a short line railroad client through the Transportation Department’s Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements Program. The CRISI program is focused on improving the safety, efficiency, and reliability of the U.S. passenger and freight network. Three of the company’s rail lines, located in Mississippi, Massachusetts and Indiana, received grant awards for projects to upgrade and modernize their infrastructure and enhance safety. Managing director Jordan Cooper and managing associate Elaine Hillgrove helped lead the successful lobbying effort.
